LSG have found their replacement for the injured Mark Wood
After much speculations, LSG has announced its replacement for Mark Wood.
LSG has announced its replacement for Mark Wood. A lot of name were floating around like Blessing Muzarbani and Taskin Ahmed and Australian speedster Andrew Tye
The Australian speedster, Andrew Tye who has been brought onboard and will soon join the franchise.
Mark Wood’s injury was a huge blow for LSG as they had invested a lot on him in the auction. He was earmarked to lead the attack along with Avesh Khan and Holder but now they have to change their plans.
By signing Andrew Tye they have ensured they have enough variety in their pace arsenal. Dushantha Chameera can fill in for Mark Wood as the 145+ pacer during the first half of the season and once the pitches slow down Andrew Tye’s bag of tricks and variations can be handy.
Though Andrew Tye won the purple cap in 2018 he has not been able the replicate that kind of success in a long time. In fact even for Australia he has gone low down in their pecking order. So this opportunity for playing in LSG can be a much needed revival to his career.

It was earlier reported by Sports Trumpet team that Taskin Ahmed and Blessing Muzarbani were in talks to be signed as the replacement but it appears to be that they were looked at as net bowlers for the side. Blessing Muzarbani is most likely to be finalised soon.
