The first match of the two-Test series between India and Sri Lanka will be played at the IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali from March 4. This Test is going to be very special for former Indian captain Virat Kohli. Kohli will play the 100th Test match of his Test career in Mohali. Earlier in this match, spectators were not allowed to come to the stadium, but now great news has come out for Kohli fans.
PCA treasurer RP Sinola told PTI, “BCCI has asked us to allow 50 percent spectators of the stadium’s capacity during the upcoming Test match.” At the same time, BCCI secretary Jay Shah said in a statement, ‘The first Test match between India and Sri Lanka to be held in Mohali will not be played in an empty stadium.’
Making special arrangements for Kohli’s historic Test, the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) has allowed 50 percent of the spectators to come.
