Tilak Varma Replaces Injured Shivam Dube for Bangladesh T20 Series
Who is to be blamed for the assault on Shrikant Shekhar – Organizers, Abdul Azim Badakshi or the Afghani fans?
Abdul Azim Badakshi and his Afghani fans tried to mob lynch Shrikant Shekhar during his fight in the MFN 9.
Shrikant, who has a broken jaw among other injuries, has been hospitalised following an ugly brawl outside the ring at the MMA event in the capital city.
An FIR has been filed against Abdul Azim Badakshi & Afghan fans in Matrix Fight Night for assaulting Shrikant Shekhar.
MFN 8 was a huge success and 1 can argue that the reason for the success was the appointment of Police to keep matters in check. But the Police were absent for the MFN 9.
Parvin Dabas(co-founder of Pro Panja League) and a staunch MMA follower has taken to Twitter to criticize the events during MFN 9.
In a recent interview, Parvin has shared that he is seeking justice for the Indian fighter. He also claimed that Badakshi is trying to flee the country.
As a result, many questions are being raised on the organizers of the tournament. Particularly Ayesha Shroff and Krishna Shroff are under the radar.
Questions such as:
- Who is responsible for not being able to maintain decorum during the tournament – Organisers, Afghani fans or Abdul Azim Badakshi?
- Why were necessary precautions not taken by the management to avoid the brawl?
- What is the reason behind the Delhi Police not being present at the venue of the fight?
- What repercussions will Abdul Azim Badakshi and his fans face for the unnecessary assault?
Ayesha Shroff released a statement on the incident by the official Instagram page of MFN.

In hindsight of the incident, all Afghanistan fighters have been banned from participating in the MFN.
But still many questions loom unanswered. What will be the outcome of the ongoing investigation? Will Badakshi be penalised for his antics?
Only time will tell whether Shrikant will get justice or not.
