West Indies lose to England by 1 run in the 2nd T20 match
West Indies lost to England by one run at the Kensington Oval in Barbados in an ongoing T20 series. The Windies won the toss and sent England to bat first. In the first innings, Jason Roy scored 45 and Moeen Ali 31 runs. Chris Jordan scored 27 runs for England as they scored 171 runs at the loss of 8 wickets.
It was tough for West Indies to chase 172 runs in 20 overs because their wickets kept falling. West Indies lost seven wickets at the score of 65 runs. But Romario Shephard and Akeal Hosein had some different planes they showed some ability with the bat out in the middle. Both Akeal Hosein and Romario Shephard scored 44 runs and remained unbeaten. West Indies needed 30 runs from 6 balls. England’s blower Saqib Mahmood took started the last over with a wide ball. Needed 20 runs from three delivers Akeal Hosein smashed three six in three balls. But west indies fell short of 1 run as they lost the match to England.
The five-match series is level at 1-1 after this win. The third T20 match is scheduled for Tuesday.
