The pacer is widely seen as one of the best in the world, be it white-ball cricket or red-ball. However, India missed the services of Bumrah for a significant period of time in the ongoing Test against South Africa at Centurion.
Bumrah limped off the ground after suffering a painful ankle injury on Tuesday. The pacer twisted his ankle in the 11th over of the South African innings and had no option but to leave the field.
After being attended by the medical team, Bumrah returned to action after the end of the 60th over while Kagiso Rabada and Keshav Maharaj were on the crease. Delighted to see Bumrah finally being able to bowl again, Kohli was heard saying in the stump mic: “Finally, the Rock has come back”.
The phrase had become quite popular after being used by wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. He had used the phrase after marking his comeback to the ring in 2011, after an 8-year-long absence.
