Sunrisers Hyderabad bought Nicholas Pooran for Rs 10.75 crores
The West Indian made his IPL debut in 2019. During the season, he was selected by the Punjab Kings. In IPL 2019, he scored 18 runs at an average of 28.0 in 7 games. He was given more opportunities by the team in the IPL 2020. He played in all 14 games.
In 14 matches, the wicketkeeper-batsman scored 353 runs at an average of 35.30. He also has two half-centuries. Pooran failed to put on a good performance in IPL 2021 last year. Despite facing multiple ducks, he only scored 85 runs in 12 games, with the highest knock being 32 runs.
As a result, the left-handed batsman has scored 606 runs in 33 IPL matches at an average of 22.44. Nicholas Pooran was released from the Punjab Kings squad ahead of the IPL 2022 auction. Pooran maintained a base price of Rs. 1.5 crore ahead of the auction.
