SC East Bengal get young striker Rahul Paswan on loan

SC East Bengal have announced the arrival of striker Rahul Paswan on Thursday and the young forward will be part of the squad for the remaining 2021-22 Hero India Super League season. The legendary Bengal club is currently on the bottom of the ISL table with 9 points out of the possible 39. They will be hoping that the young prospect can help spread some energy into the squad as we move to the latter stages of the league.

“It’s a dream come true for me, joining a prestigious club like SC East Bengal. Every footballer from Bengal aspires to play for these big teams and I am no exception. I will look forward to giving my best and helping the team in whatever way I can.”, said the young striker.

The 23-year-old played for BSS Sporting Club in the Calcutta Football League and topped the goal-scoring charts with six goals.

“Paswan is a good, young talent. He is a good addition to the side and I am sure he will do well for us,” said SCEB Head Coach Mario Rivera.

SCEB fans & Mario Rivera would want Paswan to hit the ground running as the Kolkata-based side has failed to score a single goal in three of their last five matches.
