Sam Billings who was signed by KKR said that he the IPL is the biggest domestic tournament in the world. The wicketkeeper batsman said so in an interview.
The 30 year old will represent the Kolkata franchise, after he was signed by them at the IPL Mega Auction for INR 2 crore.
In a video posted by Kolkata Knight Riders, Sam Billings is seen calling IPL the biggest domestic league in the world.
He also said that “I think the support, the fans take it to a completely different dimension to any other sport in the world. You’ve got 1.2 billion people or so. And everyone absolutely loves cricket. So it’s a pleasure for players to play here. It’s an honor to play here.”
This is 6th year in IPL and Sam is raring to go. He and KKR take on CSK in their first match of the season on 26th March, 2022.
