Out Or Not Out? Virat Kohli’s Controversial Dismissal

Team India captain Virat Kohli, who chose to miss the first Test against New Zealand in Kanpur to handle his work, returned to India’s playing XI for the ongoing second Test match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. He, but, had an unexpected drive in the first sessions as he was dismissal for a duck ball by Kiwi palyer Ajaz Patel.

After winning the toss and getting the lead, Kohli choose to bat first against a New Zealand side, who also have a new captain in this match. Indian openers Shubman Gill and Mayank Agarwal delivered a compact start as the duo scored 80 runs for the first wicket.

Ajaz Patel send away Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli in an important over throughout the first midday of the ongoing second Test in Mumbai, as India toppled from 80/0 to 80/3. Kohli was noticed in charged conversation with the umpires, after he was ordered out lbw after a long and failed review.

Virat Kohli’s removal for a duck on Day 1 of the second Test between India and New Zealand in Kanpur formed various opinions. While some believed that the judgment was wrong and attack on-field umpires Nitin Menon, Anil Choudhary and third umpire Virender Sharma for causing a ‘poor’ call, there were those who considered that the India skipper in fact was out.

Kohli went to pavelion for a four-ball duck, his fourth this year, but not ere there was tension enclosing it. However, the replaying the decision in a dilemma as it revealed the ball hitting the bat and pad around at the very time. Considering there was no ‘convincing proof’ in the play, the umpire he could not overturn the on-field umpire’s call.
