Lebron James returns as the Lakers win in overtime against the Knicks
The Los Angeles Lakers have been struggling recently in the absence of their star players Anthony Davis and Lebron James in the NBA. Both the players have been frustrated with injuries now and then in recent times. The Lakers have gone 1-4 without them in the squad. However, yesterday’s game was a good one for the Lakers as they won in overtime against the New York Knicks and the team was able to field both of their star players in the squad.
James finished the game with his 103rd career triple-double, racking up 29 points, 10 assists & 13 rebounds in 40 minutes, shooting 13-for-24 from the field. Lebron looked like a man who was raring to go back on the court in this game. His last game before yesterday came on 25th January after which he had to fly back to L.A. to receive treatment on his knee after an injury.
The American looked fearful on the court and was a vital part of his team’s victory yet again. The Lakers currently sit in 9th position in the Western Conference and would have to show some consistency in their results and performances to climb up the table. The other thing is to keep their star players fit and playing in their important matches.
