Jasprit Bumrah’s Workload Debate: Balwinder Singh Sandhu Criticizes Modern “Workload

Ajit Agarkar believes that Virat Kohli’s return to leadership will make things easier for RCB.
Former India fast bowler Ajit Agarkar feels Virat Kohli resuming captaincy would benefit Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. Kohli stepped down as RCB captain after the 2021 IPL, citing the desire to keep fresh. He made the announcement ahead of the second leg of the IPL in the UAE.
Kohli took up the RCB captaincy from former New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori in 2013. The 32-year-old has captained the squad in 131 games (60 wins, 64 defeats), but despite reaching the IPL final in 2016, he has yet to win the Indian Premier League (IPL)
Royal Challengers Bangalore, on the other hand, retained Virat Kohli for Rs 15 crore ahead of the major auction, which is set to take place in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13. RCB also signed Glenn Maxwell for Rs 11 crore and Mohammed Siraj for Rs 7 crore.
“If Virat Kohli can take over as captain, if he is willing to do so, and if he has the will to do so, I believe it will be the simplest answer for them. At the end of the day, we’ve seen RCB throughout the years not invest enough money in building a quality squad of 12, 13, or 14 players with sufficient depth “Agarkar stated this on the Star Sports show ‘Game Plan: IPL Auction Special.’
Virat Kohli resigned as India’s T20I captain shortly after resigning as RCB captain, citing workload management. The Asian powerhouse failed to advance to the knockout rounds of the T20 World Cup, despite Kohli’s leadership.
Following India’s early elimination, Kohli was relieved of his duties as ODI captain, and the job of guiding the limited-overs teams was given to Rohit Sharma. Meanwhile, Kohli resigned as India’s Test skipper the day after the squad was defeated in a Test series in South Africa.
