Lakshya Sen loses out to World No. 1 Viktor Axelsen
Indian badminton star Lakshya Sen narrowly missed out on the All England final win as he was beaten by World Number 1 Viktor Axelsen.
The 20 year old star had beaten world number 6 Lee Zii Jia to fix a match in the final vs Viktor Axelsen.
This was the first time an Indian male had reached the final since 2001. Lakshya Sen had the chances of becoming only the 3rd Indian to win the All England Open.
The youngster lost the first set with the score of 21-10.
Lakshya sen tried to fight back in the second set, but was unable to win as he lost 21-15.
Viktor Axelsen won the final 2 sets to love.
A sweet win for the Danish international as he won the title for the second time.
This was the 4th consecutive All England Open final that he was playing. He lost out to Kento Momota and Lee Zii Jia in 2019 and 2021 respectively.
Even though Lakshya Sen finished runner up, he’s done all of us proud.
