KL Rahul set to be ruled out of the T20I series against West Indies
The Indian team has suffered a setback before the T20I series against West Indies. Star batsman KL Rahul has tested positive for COVID19.
Team India’s star batsman KL Rahul has been found Corona positive. Rahul was currently undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). Rahul was included in the team for the T20I series against West Indies. However, his attendance will depend on the fitness test.
According to news agency PTI, KL Rahul’s Covid-19 test has come positive and now there is a suspense about his going on the West Indies tour. BCCI President Sourav Ganguly gave this information after the Apex Council meeting.
Rahul had a successful operation in Germany, after which he returned home. Rahul was doing rehabilitation at the NCA in Bangalore under the supervision of Nitin Patel. Recently a video was going viral in which Indian women’s cricket team veteran Jhulan Goswami was seen bowling to KL Rahul in the nets.
KL Rahul has been away from cricketing action since the Indian Premier League 2022. Rahul was appointed the captain of the Indian team for the T20 series against South Africa held last month, but even before the start of the first game, Rahul was ruled out of the entire five-match series due to injury. After this, Rahul was forced to stay out of the entire tour of England.
