After a dominating performance in the T20I series, India have completely outclassed England in the first ODI, thanks to Jasprit Bumrah.
Team India completely outplayed England during the first innings of the opening encounter in a three-match ODI series. The Three Lions batters had no answers to an excellent bowling performance from the Indian side as they did not even cross the 150-run mark in their allotted 50 overs.
Senior pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami were excellent for the Men in Blue as they completely dismantled the English batting line-up.
Several prominent players including Jos Buttler, Jason Roy, Joe Root, Ben Stokes, and Jonny Bairstow who were in outstanding batting form were sent back to the pavilion by a spirited bowling performance from the visitors.
England skipper Jos Buttler was the highest run-scorer for his team after amassing 30 runs. Roy, Bairstow, Stokes, Root, Liam Livingstone, and Craig Overton could not even cross the double-figure mark.
For India, Bumrah spewed venom with the ball as he scalped a total of six wickets for his team and gave away just 19 runs in 7.2 overs. Shami was also excellent for his three wickets.
Young pacer Prasidh Krishna also took one wicket as England got bowled out for just 110 runs in 25.2 overs.
Despite missing batter Virat Kohli’s services, the Men in Blue will back themselves to chase the total easily and win the first match of the series.
