IND Vs WI : Rohit Sharma is not part of the ODI series on the West Indies tour.
IND vs WI : The BCCI on Wednesday announced the ODI team for the West Indies tour. But from this series, senior players including the regular captain of the team Rohit Sharma have been rested. Former India fast bowler Irfan Pathan has questioned on BCCI ‘s decision not to include senior players.
Irfan Pathan has attacked Rohit Sharma’s form. Irfan Pathan, however, did not mention name of any player. But it is clear that he is pointing towards the captain of Team India. Irfan Pathan tweeted and said, “No one comes back to form while resting .”
Apart from Rohit Sharma, the names of Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya are not included in the team that the BCCI has selected for the ODI series against West Indies. The BCCI says that these players have been rested from the ODI series.
But in the meantime, questions are being raised about Rohit Sharma’s form and fitness. Rohit Sharma has performed very disappointingly in the 15th season of IPL. Apart from this, due to being covid positive, Rohit Sharma could not become a part of the Edgbaston Test against England.
At the same time, similar questions are being raised on giving rest to Virat Kohli. Even for Virat Kohli, the 15th season of IPL was very disappointing. And he also could not even score a half – century in both the innings of Edgbaston Test. That’s why it is being said that if both these veterans remain on rest, then how will they return to form.
Recently BCCI has announced the ODI team for the West Indies tour , in which seniors players including India captain Rohit Sharma , Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah have been rested .
