IPL 2022: Moeen Ali might miss CSK’s start of the new season due to visa issues
Chennai Super Kings have been put under some tension over the availability of their England all-rounder Moeen Ali as the former might not be bale to play the Indian Premier League (IPL) opening match on March 26 against the Kolkata Knight Riders. Moeen Ali’s travel visa has not been approved which makes him ineligible to make the trip to India for the IPL season.
CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan told India Today that the franchise is unsure of why there has been a delay in the player’s visa approval but has expressed confidence that the issue will be sorted out as soon as possible.

“We spoke to him about the issue and he is hoping that matter will be resolved soon.all necessary documentation has been done but don’t know why his visa approval hasn’t come. As soon he will get his Visa he will fly to India and join the team,”
Viswanathan said.
Chennai Super Kings will open their campaign when they take on the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede Stadium on Saturday. All the team players have been training in Surat where the training camp had been set up for the upcoming IPL 2022 season. The Indian players like MS Dhoni and Ambati Rayudu already began training earlier this month as the other domestic stars and foreign players have started arriving one by one to get familiar with the conditions before the opening day.
Moeen Ali will also has to undergo a 3-day quarantine when he arrives in India and hence is looking like a doubt for the opening match. The Indian and overseas players have been allowed to shift from bubble to bubble as well which makes it easier for the sides to go on with their season preparations without any interruption. Moeen Ali would have to time his return to India in a perfect manner if he is to take part in the season opener of TATA IPL 2022.
