Hardik Pandya was the top scorer, having scored 51(33). As for the bowling attack, Chris Jordan was the pick of the bowlers, having given away just 23 runs in his 4 overs, whilst picking up 2 wickets.
But, England took the last session as they conceded just 41 runs in the last 30 balls, whilst picking up 4 wickets. The men in blue lost momentum towards the end but nevertheless, the visitors would be happy, having scored 198 runs after electing to bat first.
In the middle overs, India dominated the play, with valuable contributions from Deepak Hooda, Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav. India scored 91 runs in over 7-15 to put themselves in a strong position.

Big news from the Indian camp is that Arshdeep Singh is to make his debut today. He receives his cap from Captain Rohit Sharma.
1 of the biggest positives for India is the return of their skipper Rohit Sharma, after he was ruled out of the test match as he tested positive for COVID-19. However, star batsman Virat Kohli is not in the squad for the 1st T20I. He will return for the 2nd and 3rd match of the series.
India played a couple of T20 warm-up matches against Derbyshire and Northamptonshire, under the leadership of Dinesh Karthik. They won both of them.
England chased down a mammoth total of 378 to win the 5th test and draw the series 2-2. India on the other hand, will be looking to avenge for their defeat in the final test.
