India secured an 86-run victory over Bangladesh in the 2nd T20I at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi, clinching the series ahead of the final match in Hyderabad. Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto won the toss and opted to bowl first. His bowlers made an early impact by reducing India to 3 wickets inside the powerplay. Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson, and Suryakumar Yadav were dismissed cheaply, putting India under pressure.
However, the game quickly favored India, thanks to a brilliant partnership between Nitish Reddy and Rinku Singh. Reddy’s explosive knock of 74 off just 34 balls, coupled with Rinku Singh’s quickfire 50, helped India recover and post a formidable total of 221/9. Hardik Pandya provided the finishing touches with a late blitz, further boosting India’s score.
India’s bowlers were equally dominant, with Nitish Reddy shining with the ball, taking two wickets for 23 runs. Bangladesh struggled to build partnerships and were restricted to 135/9 in their 20 overs. India now leads the series 2-0, with the final T20I scheduled for Saturday in Hyderabad.
