IND vs SL: Jadeja shines, becomes sixth player to score 150+ and take 5 wickets in the same Test
Indian Cricket team All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has come up with yet another brilliant performance on the 3rd day of the 1st Test Match against Sri Lanka. His performance with both bat and ball have been commendable and has made him only the sixth player who has been able to score 150+ runs and get a five-wicket haul in the same test match. Rockstar Jadeja scored an unbeatable 175 runs on Day 2 followed by a mind-blowing 5 wicket spell on the 3rd day as well.
He has added his name to the 5 player list of Vinoo Mankad, Dennis Atkinson, Polly Umrigar, Gary Sobers, and Mushtaq Muhammad who have managed to achieve this feat in the past. Jadeja would have gone on to score to a double century as well if it wasn’t for the team’s decision to declare their batting innings at 574/8.
The Sri Lankan batting contingent faced the tough task of facing the talented array of Indian bowlers and eventually managed to put up only 174 runs on the board as they were bowled out with the help of some fierce bowling spells.
