Hardik Pandya and co. became the 2nd team in IPL History, after IPL 2022 finalists, Rajasthan Royals, to win a title in their maiden IPL season.

Many people had written off GT before the Tata IPL 2022 had started but they were proven wrong and how!

GT showed a proper team effort throughout the IPL with Hardik Pandya and Rashid Khan leading them from the front.

If the openers failed to deliver, Hardik Pandya stepped up. If Pandya failed, Miller stepped up.

Sometimes, the bowling made up for the batting woes displayed by the Titans. Proper unit that gelled well throughout the IPL and went on to win the IPL and the hearts. They truly were the team to beat this season.

Who would have known that a star born in Surat, Gujarat, will help Gujarat win their first ever IPL title in Ahmedabad!

Hardik Pandya was drafted by the Gujarat Titans before the Tata IPL 2022 Mega Auction, for INR 15 crore.

GT also roped in Rashid Khan and Shubman Gill, before the Tata IPL 2022 Mega Auction.

Pandya first played in IPL 2015, where he had some key contributions in helping Mumbai Indians to their 2nd IPL title.

7 years later, it’s the same man in a darker shade of blue, lifting the IPL trophy for Gujarat Titans.

Hardik had his best IPL season this time around, scoring 487 runs with an average of 44.87, whilst picking up 8 wickets, 3 off which, came in the final.

A magnificent cricketer who fortunately for India, has found his form with the bat and the ball. With the T20 World Cup and the Asia Cup coming up later this year, India will be counting on the services of Hardik Pandya.

To cap his IPL off, Pandya won the player of the match award in the final against Rajasthan Royals.

He picked up 3 crucial wickets of Sanju Samson, Jos Buttler and Shimron Hetmyer, whilst giving away just 17 runs.

Add to this, a match winning partnership with Shubman Gill, that helped GT to their 1st ever title.
