Full-strength Australia squad to be selected for upcoming Pakistan tour

Australia tour of Pakistan will begin from 3rd March 2022. Australia is all set to select a full-strength squad for the tour of Pakistan. The series will be played across three venues. Three tests will be played on three different venues. Three ODIs and one T20 will be played in Lahore.

In 1996 Pakistan had an ICC event on its soil it was the world cup and was co-hosted with Sri Lanka and India. 

After the terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan team bus in 2009, Test cricket was banned until 2019. England pulled out the tour of Pakistan due to security concerns. While New Zealand withdraws itself at the eleventh hour. It just happened before the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

Australia has won the ashes series by 4-0 against England. They dominated in the series.  In 1998 Australia won the series in Pakistan under the captaincy of Mark Taylor On the other hand, Australia appeared ready to embark on their first tour of Pakistan in 24 years.

“I believe the boards are still working through some of the minor details around that tour, so once that gets the formal tick of approval then we’ll announce the squad post that, but we’re reasonably well down the track,” Bailey told reporters on Tuesday according to Cricket Australia’s website.

March 3-7: First Test, Karachi

March 12-16: Second test, Rawalpindi

March 21-25: Third test, Lahore

March 29: 1st ODI, Lahore

March 31: 2nd ODI, Lahore

April 2: 3rd ODI, Lahore

April 5: only T20, Lahore
