FIFA World Cup 2022 Finals : There are only two teams still in the running to win the 22nd FIFA World Cup after 63 games, Argentina and France. For the chance to win either of their third world championships, the two teams that won Groups C and D will face off in the summit match on Sunday at the Lusail Stadium. Argentina won the cup in 1978 and 1986, while France is the current champion after winning the trophy four years ago in Russia. Argentina won the trophy in 1978 and 1986 but France won the inaugural championship in 1998 while playing at home.
Argentina’s adventure at the tournament started with an unexpected 2-1 loss to Saudi Arabia. Since then, Lionel Scaloni and company have won every game they’ve played, scoring two goals or more in the process. They defeated Mexico, Poland, Australia, the Netherlands, and Croatia on route to the championship game. In contrast, France started their campaign by defeating Australia 4-1. They then defeated Denmark before falling to Tunisia in the group stage. On their path to the championship game, Les Bleus defeated Poland, England, and Morocco.

A few players have distinguished themselves from the throng at each world cup, and not unexpectedly, some of them have advanced to the 2022 FIFA World Cup finals. They are :

Out of which, Julián Álvarez is the youngest player who played his first FIFA World Cup in the year 2018. 31 years old Atletico Madrid midfielder also played a significant role in both of France’s goals in the quarterfinals, and his superb performance in the semifinals won him Player of the Match honours. There will be a lot of attention on Kylian Mbappé because just one other player has a chance to overtake him in the battle for this year’s prized Golden Boot.
Lionel Messi, who will play his final match for Argentina at the Global Cup and is hoping to end his tournament career with the trophy he has long sought after, is the key to Argentina’s hopes of winning a third world championship. When Argentina fell 1-0 to Germany in overtime in 2014, the 35-year-old had come the closest to hoisting the championship. While Brazil won the World Cup in 1958 and 1962, France is attempting to become the first side to do so since that time.
