CSK-Junior Super Kings T20 Tournament Updates – The Junior Super Kings inter-school T20 event has officially begun, according to the Chennai Super Kings. The seventh edition of the Junior Super Kings inter-school T20 tournament will take place between December 26, 2022, and January 22, 2023.
In Chennai and other districts, it would be played in a knockout style.
The 86-team Junior Super Kings 2022–23 championship would be held across 15 Tamil Nadu districts, including Chennai, Trichy, Villupuram, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Salem, Erode, Vellore, Ranipet, Madurai, Dindigul, Tirunelveli, Tuticorin, Tenkasi, and Kanyakumari.
At a recent ceremony at Super Kings Academy in Thoraipakkam, CSK head coach Stephen Fleming introduced both the tournament shirt and the trophy.
There will be two phases to the competition. In Chennai and other districts, the first phase (December 26 to January 10) will be played in a knockout format. The second phase will be played at Tirunelveli from January 18 to January 22 and will feature two teams (winners and runners) from Chennai and six winners from other districts.
A league format will be used for the second stage. This event will be played under lights.

In Chennai, the first edition of Junior Super Kings included 32 teams. It has since developed into a pan-Tamil Nadu competition that uncovers talent from all throughout the State.
We are happy that the competition has returned following a two-year break brought on by COVID. The Chennai Super Kings have always believed in giving back to the game, and the Junior Super Kings are a crucial component of our objectives to grow grassroots cricket in Tamil Nadu.
Players like Shahrukh Khan, Washington Sundar, and Sai Sudarshan among others have benefited from the tournament’s platforms. I have no doubt that this year will also see the discovery of many new stars.
