Babar Azam claims career highest test rankings : Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan, has surpassed Steve Smith to take second position among batters in the current ICC Test rankings.
The person at the top of the list, Marnus Labuschgane, is followed by Babar Azam, who has 875 rating points. The 28-year-old reached his highest position in his career, second, against England in the third Test, which included two fifty-plus scores.
Smith struggled at the plate in the first Test match against South Africa; he scored 36 and 6 and finished third, five points behind Azam.
