Yuzvendra Chahal shares his traumatic experience
IPL 2022: Yuzvendra Chahal shares a past experience where he felt he made “narrow escape”
The incident took place in 2013 when Yuzvendra Chahal played for Mumbai Indians. The leg spinner was held out of the window from the 15th floor while at a party.
Yuzvendra Chahal is a 31 year old Indian Mens International player. He has represented India 61 times in ODI and 54 times in T20I’s.
The leg spinner was on a show for RR named “comeback stories”. He starred in the show alongside teammates Karun Nair and Ravichandran Ashwin.
This is where he revealed this incident.
Yuzvendra Chahal said that not many people know about this incident as he hardly speaks about it.
“My story, some people know about. I have never spoken about this, I never shared this. In 2013, I was with the Mumbai Indians. We had a match in Bengaluru. There was a get together after that. There was a player who was very drunk, I will not take his name. He was very drunk; he was looking at me and he just called me. He took me outside and he dangled me from the balcony,” Chahal told Ashwin and Nair in the video.
Yuzvendra Chahal has decided not to name the Mumbai Indians player who dangled him from the balcony.
“My hands were around him. Had I lost my grip, I was on the 15th floor. Suddenly many people who were there came and got the situation under control. I kind of fainted. They gave me water, then I realised how responsible you should be if you go out anywhere. So, this was one incident where I felt I made a narrow escape. Had there been the slightest of mistake, I would have fallen down,” he added.
This share has enraged many fans who are unable to believe the dark side of IPL.
Currently Yuzvendra Chahal is enjoying his experience at Rajasthan Royals camp. He is their top wicket taker having taken 7 wickets in 3 matches.
He was released by Royal Challengers Bangalore just before the Tata IPL Mega Auction 2022. Rajasthan bought Yuzi Chahal for INR 6.5 crore.
He bowled a magnificent spell where he picked up 2 wickets for just 15 runs but, Dinesh Karthik helped RCB over the line against RR.
