Yasir Shah Accused In Minor’s Rape Case
Police have registered an FIR against Pakistan spinner Yasir Shah, who is a key member of the Pakistan team, has been named in a case reported at Islamabad’s Shalimar police station for reportedly kidnapping, molesting and threatening a girl.
According to the FIR, the 14-year-old minor girl has stated that Yasir’s friend, Farhan abducted her at gunpoint, raped her, created videos of her, and later made threatening remarks to her.
The girl has alleged that Yasir Shah and his friend Farhan threatened her that if she said a thing about this incident to the authorities they would release her videos.
“When I approached Yasir Shah on WhatsApp and told him about the incident, he made fun of me and said that he likes underage girls,” the minor has stated in the FIR according to the reports.
As in the FIR, The girl also claimed that the Pakistan spinner had warned her of “bad consequences” if she approached the police over the incident.
The matter arises from an incident that is reported to have taken place on August 14 in 2021. No detentions were made in the case.
Meanwhile, as per reports, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) also responded in this matter “The PCB is presently gathering information at its end and will only offer a comment when in possession of complete facts.”
Yasir Shah has represented Pakistan in 46 Test matches, taking 235 wickets with his finest figures being 8-41.
