Yash Dhull Scores 50 to lead Delhi in Ranji Trophy
On Saturday, Delhi gave a good account of themselves in their last Ranji Trophy elite group H match against Chhattisgarh, scoring 83 for no loss in their second innings. In his first Ranji Trophy season, Dhull hit nine boundaries and Shorey two fours in his inning.
With one day left in the tournament, Delhi is still behind Chhattisgarh by 104 runs.
Following Chhattisgarh’s declaration of 482 for 9, Delhi collapsed for 295 in 95.3 overs after starting with 108 for 3.
In 152 balls, Nitish Rana knocked nine boundaries and hit a six to score 71 runs off his overnight score of 20. Jonty Sidhu (25) brought his score to 25 before being bowled.
Lalit Yadav (60) hit a brilliant half-century off 111 balls, while skipper Pradeep Sangwan (17) and Ishant Sharma (16) also chipped in with valuable runs to help Delhi get close to 300.
Three wickets each were taken by Shubham Agarwal (3/74) and Sumit Ruikar (3/45) for Chhattisgarh.
