West Indies announced T20 squad series against India.
West Indies is all set to visit India for the ODI and the T20 series. The three-match ODI series will be played in Ahmedabad at Narendra Modi Stadium. While the T20 series will be played in Kolkata at Eden Gardens Stadium.
West Indies have announced their squad of 16 members for the T20 match series against India. In the unchanged squad for their home series against England, Kieron Pollard has been named captain. While Nicholas Pooran will be the vice-captain for ODI and T20.
They have retained their core players from their current home series, including all-rounder Rovman Powell and their former captain Jason Holder. West Indies star batsmen Chris Gayle still can’t find his place in the squad.
The West Indies has selected a team that consists of a good mix of youth and experience in the T20I format. Players like Roston Chase, Jason Holder, Darren Bravo, and Kieron Pollard can play important roles. The squad boasts of a lot of all-rounders including Pollard and Jason Holder while Rovman Powell. While Shamarh Brooks, Nkrumah Bonner, Kemar Roach will miss the T20 series against India.
“The team has been doing well in the T20I series against England in Barbados and we decided to stick with the same group of players,” CWI lead selector, Desmond Haynes said.
