Tonight was a crucial night as had the Grizzlies won, they would’ve tied the series3-3, with a game left and momentum on their side.
But, just like in match 4, Stephen Curry came good tonight for the Warriors. He scored the Warriors’ second highest points with 29.
Only Klay Thompson from the Warriors scored 30 points. The 30 point tally was reached by Dillon Brooks for the Grizzlies too but, it was not enough to help them beat the Warriors.
The game started off on an equal note, with the Warriors having their noses just in front with a 4 point lead after the 1st quarter.
Grizzlies cut down the lead to 2 points in the second quater as at half time, the scoreboard read Warriors 53-51 Grizzlies.
A similar pattern was followed in the close third quarter, as the Grizzlies just edged out the Warriors 26-25 to bring the lead down to 1.
But, in the fourth and final quarter of the match, the Warriors burst into life.
Andrew Wiggins came up big in the fourth quarter, as he got 10 of his 18 points in the final frame of action. He was knocking down high-pressure 3s and was aggressive on defense to get deflections and a steal which led to a breakaway dunk.
It was Curry again, who knocked down two 3 pointers under immense pressure, to make sure the lead rose into double figures for the Warriors.
Warriors won the 4th quarter 32-19 to cruise to the final of the Western Conference.
They will face the winner of the series between the Dallas Mavericks and Phoenix Suns, which will be decided in a Game 7 on Sunday night.
As soon as the finalist is decided, the Finals can commence from May 18.
As it has been for quite some time, Klay Thompson was the star of the Match 6 of the series with 30 points.
