Virat Kohli: I would scan my brain if I woke up as Ronaldo
IPL 2022: In a behind the scenes interview for RCB, Virat Kohli showered praises on football great Cristiano Ronaldo. Kohli has long been a fan of Ronaldo.
Who is Cristiano Ronaldo?
Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the greatest ever players to grace the game of football. In fact, he is the current top scorer in the history of football.
The Portugese player is currently playing for the club of Manchester United. The 37 year old is still going strong, having scored 18 goals in 33 matches in all competitions this season. He also has 3 assists to his name.
In the interview, Virat Kohli was asked – Who is his favourite athlete and what would he do if he woke up as them?
To this he said that “Cristiano Ronaldo!” “I would do a scan of my brain (if I woke up as Ronaldo) and see where all that mental strength comes from.”
Virat Kohli also spoke about when he felt devastated in the shoot.
He spoke about the year 2016, when he lost the IPL final, plus lost the ICC T20 World Cup semi finals to West Indies in a span of months.
He said “IPL final 2016 and that same year, 2016 T20 World Cup semifinal at Wankhede against West Indies.”
In that IPL, Virat Kohli smashed record breaking 973 runs in the 16 matches he had played, having an average of 81.08!
As for the semi finals, West Indies chased down 192 runs in a high scoring thriller at the Wankhede stadium.

In the interview, Virat Kohli also spoke about his most memorable moment. He picked the game against Gujarat Lions in the qualifier 1 in IPL 2016.
“The last game that we played in 2016 was against Delhi in Raipur. And then the very next qualifier, when AB (de Villiers) played a gun knock and Iqbal was with him at the other end.
“The celebration after that game was the most special that I have ever experienced,” Kohli signed off.
Virat Kohli has the chance of winning both, the Tata IPL and the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia this year.
