PREMIER LEAGUE CHAMPIONS MANCHESTER CITY ARRIVE IN INDIA FOR CHAMPIONS
Tottenham bolster their attack by signing Richarlison
Premier League: Tottenham Hotspurs sign Brazilian forward Richarlison from league rivals Everton.
Richarlison, who was the main man for Everton, has moved from Merseyside to London, by signing for North London club Tottenham Hotspurs.
The deal will cost Spurs 60 million pounds ($73 million). Richarlison is a great addition to the Spurs team, who are likely to lose Steven Bergwijn to Ajax.
Richarlison has scored 48 goals and assisted another 18 in his 172 appearances in the Premier League. (Stats via Transfermarkt UK)
Age is on the side of the Brazilian and many fans are eager to watch the Richarlison x Harry Kane link up.
Just like Heung min Son, Richarlison can act as either a second striker or a goal scoring winger. Antonio Conte now has strong attacking options off the bench as Spurs are looking a great team for the upcoming season.
Richarlison can play on either wings and upfront as well, meaning the goal scoring pressure is taken off of Kane and Son.
Chelsea attempted a late hijack of the Richarlison deal but they wanted the deal to be done on their terms, hence, lost out to their derby rivals, Spurs.
After the signing of Richarlison, Tottenham shift their focus towards the securing of Djed Spence from Middlesbrough and Clement Lenglet from FC Barcelona(both approved by team boss Antonio Conte).
