The logo of the Lucknow Super Giants has been released.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) is all set to begin on March 27. With the addition of the two franchises, the tournament will have 74 matches. IPL 2022 has 10 franchises. The two new team that will take part in IPL 2022 are Ahmedabad and Lucknow. All 10 teams will fight for one title.
Lucknow-based IPL franchise is owned by RPSG Group. The team owner has revealed the name as Lucknow Super Giants. KL Rahul will be the team’s captain. Lucknow has chosen KL Rahul (17Cr) Marcus Stoinis (9.2 Cr) and Ravi Bishnoi (4 Cr) for the IPL 2022. Andy Flower has been appointed as a coach of the team. Gautam Gambhir will mentor the team.
Lucknow Super Giants has now revealed its logo. There are wings and a bat on the team’s logo, with the name of the team written in the centre. A video was released on Twitter, with the caption moving towards greatness. Lucknow Super Giants is all set to fly high.
“The mythical bird Garuda- who is a protector and enthroned with the power to move swiftly, has inspired us to create the winged emblem of the team. Garuda is omnipresent in every Indian culture and sub-culture,” LSG said in a statement.
“The tri-colour wings of the entity, symbolically represent Lucknow Super Giants’ Pan -India appeal. The body of the bird has been formed by a blue coloured bat to signify the game of cricket, there is a red ball with an orange seam too. It is like an auspicious ‘Jay tilak’,” it added.
