The ICA released a statement in favour of Saha

The Indian Cricketers’ Association (ICA) issued a statement on Tuesday condemning a senior Indian journalist’s “threatening” message to veteran wicketkeeper-batter Wriddhiman Saha while applauding the BCCI’s decision to investigate the matter.

We acknowledge that the media plays an important role in the development of our game and players, but there is always a line that must never be crossed. What happened in Saha’s case is completely unacceptable, and we urge the respective press organizations to investigate and ensure that such incidents do not occur again “According to ICA President Ashok Malhotra.

“At this point, we would offer Saha our full support.” No player should be subjected to such “threats” from the media or others. “We urge the media to come out in support of Saha and ensure that such issues do not reoccur,” ICA Secretary Hitesh Majumdar said.

Interactions between participants and various media outlets must be voluntary.”

Saha, 37, who was dropped from the Indian team, took to Twitter to claim that one “respected” journalist became aggressive after he refused to give him an interview. This is what I get from a “respected” journalist after all my contributions to Indian cricket! As Saha tweeted, “This is where journalism is heading.”.

However, Saha has stated that if the BCCI asks him, he will not reveal the name of the journalist who threatened him. Following his tweet, former head coach Ravi Shastri, as well as former stars such as Virender Sehwag and Harbhajan Singh, came out in support and asked him to reveal the identity of the journalist.
