Indian bowlers leave Sri Lanka scrambling as they are 86/6

With 86 runs at stumps on the first day of the second Test against India in Bengaluru, Sri Lanka had fallen behind India’s 252 total on the first day. For Sri Lanka, Angelo Mathews made a 43 off 85 balls, but the rest of the visitors struggled. By the end of the game, Niroshan Dickwella was batting 13 and Lasith Embuldeniya was batting 0. Three wickets were taken by Jasprit Bumrah, two by Mohammed Shami, and one by Axar Patel in Sri Lanka’s first innings. Sri Lanka trail by 166 runs.

After deciding to bat, Shreyas Iyer smashed 92runs  off 98 balls to empower India score 252 all out in 59.1 overs. With a 26-ball 39, India’s wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant came in second, followed by Hanuma Vihari with 31.

Before the break, Virat Kohli was dismissed for 23 runs, and captain Rohit Sharma was out on 15 runs.

Lasith Embuldeniya, Praveen Jayawickrama, and Dhananjaya de Silva all got three wickets for Sri Lanka.

Only one change was made to India’s starting XI, with Axar Patel replacing Jayant Yadav.

on the other hand, Sri Lanka made two changes with Kusal Mendis and Praveen Jayawickrama replacing Pathum Nissanka and Lahiru Kumara, who were both injured.

The first Test was won by India by an innings and 222 runs.
