Sports Trumpet exclusive interview with Bollywood actor & Pro Panja founder Parvin Dabas

In an interview with Sports Trumpet, he mentions the reason why he decided to start a league for Arm Wrestling and much more

Parvin Dabas is an actor and director in the well known Bollywood industry.
Now, he is the co-founder of the Pro Panja League along with Bollywood actress and his better half Preeti Jhangiani.

Pro Panja has given a platform for many talented arm wrestlers like Chetna Sharma, Sachin Goyal and many more.

In the interview, Parvin Dabas was asked about how he came up with the idea of holding a Panja League.

Dabas replied,”I have been a sportsman since my childhood days. When I was young, I took lessons in Taikwondo, Kickboxing, Boxing too. We are in close contacts with the MMA as well. The passion that I have is strong for sports as well as the sports persons.”

“As for selecting Panja as a sport, there are only a couple of games that are famous in each and every Indian household. 1 is cricket and the other is Panja. Everyone knows about the basic rules of Panja. Hence, we decided on creating the Pro Panja League.”

Next up, Mr Dabas clears the air about the revenue earning in this field.

“If you complete any work in a proper manner, you will definitely earn from it, sooner or later.”

“The basic idea is to have a passion and earn money based on it. If you do any work and think of it as your passion, sooner or later you’ll earn from it.”

Pro Panja League has been held at 3 places in Delhi, Mumbai, Goa. In Mumbai, the competition was held at a place opposite thr Gateway of India. As for Goa, the competition was held on the top of a Casino boat.

This is the 5th event of Pro Panja League that is being held in Delhi.

When asked about Preeti’s contribution, Dabas did not hold back and heaped praises on her contributions.

Preeti is a co-founder of the League. She has contributed a lot. In fact she is one of the leading lady in sports. I’ll go on the record to say more than half of the work done is by her.”

“We have divided the work into 2 parts. 1 half is my responsibility and the other half is over looked by her.”

“I wish that many more people join sports, especially ladies in a leadership role. Me, the players as well as the federation is happy that a lady is leading the Pro Panja League.”
