Sports Trumpet exclusive interview with Arm Wrestling champ Michael Todd

Michael Todd is an American Arm Wrestler hailing from Little Rock, Arkansas. He is one of the most reputed arm wrestlers out there.

Nicknamed “The Monster”, Michael Todd has gone on to win 20 national and 16 world titles in the field of Arm Wrestling.

In an interview with Sports Trumpet, Michael Todd talks about the 1 arm wrestler, who has caught his eye, the upcoming season of Pro Panja League and much more.

First up, Michael shares the reason behind him being named “Monster Michael Todd”.

“While training for the Arm Wrestling events, I put on a ton of weight(muscle) to help compete with the best. Then this 1 announcer, while on phone saw me, was shocked on seeing me. Oh My God, Michael Todd is a monster he said. So the next day, while introducing, he announced: Monster Michael Todd and it’s stuck since then.”

“It’s funny because people wonder why I am calling myself a monster. Firstly, I am ok with the nickname because I am a monster and secondly, I did not name myself!”

Next up, Michael speaks about Mazahir Saidu, the 1 Indian Arm Wrestler, who caught his eye, while he trained under Todd in Dubai.

“Off the guys that I have met here, Mazahir is the man. That dude is strong! He has a super strong hand. He even trained under me, while I was staying in Dubai.”

“If you guys have anyone, who is close to Mazahir, you have a legit puller here because Mazahir is the real deal.”

Mazahir Saidu is an Indian Arm Wrestler, born in Kerala. Even though Mazahir was born in India, he was brought up in UAE. Mazahir is an Indian National Arm Wrestling Champion & UAE Heavyweight National Champion. Not only is Mazahir Saidu a champion Arm Wrestler, but also a Chartered Accountant!

“I have looked around and a couple of guys have caught my eye, who I think can give Mazahir a tough competition. If they can, I will be really impressed with it,” continued Michael.

Next, Michael shares his opinion regarding the upcoming Pro Panja League.

“From what I have seen so far, I feel that the Pro Panja League this season is going to be huge! Arm Wrestling is gonna grow a lot.”

“Add to this the buzz and the hype around the league, accompanied by them getting me here all the way from Arkansas. This is a big deal and I am looking forward to get on to the platform and arm wrestle with some contestants.”

Lastly, Michael Todd speaks about his upcoming Monster Factory 3 , happening on December 10, 2022.

“On December 10th, Monster Michael Todd is going to go up against the GOAT, John Brzenk. I am eagerly waiting for this match. My prediction for the match is going to be pain. I am going to put that in a lot of pain in that match.”

“John is a super strong athlete and I want to be as prepared as I have been for any match in my life. I plan on totally destroying John Brzenk.”

“I want to win it 3-0 in a very dominant and an impressive fashion. I am willing to kick him in the shins, if it were to help me get the win,” signed off Todd.
