Southern Super Stars Defeat India Capitals at Jodhpur
India Capitals aimed to extend their winning streak after a thrilling victory against Toyam Hyderabad, as they faced Southern Super Stars at the Barkatullah Khan Stadium, Jodhpur. Captain Ian Bell won the toss and opted to bat first. Fresh from their triumph over Gujarat Greats, Southern Super Stars were looking to maintain their momentum.
Ben Dunk and Ashley Nurse once again powered the India Capitals, with Dunk smashing 61 off 29 balls and Nurse adding 40 off 24 balls, guiding them to a competitive total of 171/4 in 20 overs. Southern Super Stars’ chase was anchored by Martin Guptill’s 36 off 28 balls, but Chirag Gandhi’s explosive 38 off 21 balls sealed a close win for the Super Stars, with support from Jesal Karia.
With this victory, Southern Super Stars climbed to the top of the table, while India Capitals moved to third. As the competition intensifies, the league is becoming even more thrilling.
