Shah Rukh Khan Calls Gautam Gambhir ‘My Captain Forever’
*Mumbai, 5th November:* Former Indian cricket and current head coach of the Indian Cricket Team, Gautam Gambhir marked Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday with a warm and witty tribute on social media. The two have a long standing association with each other via the Indian Premier League franchise, Kolkata Knight Riders.
The actor is the owner of the franchise since its inception in 2008. It was in fact under Gautam Gambhir’s leadership that the Kolkata Knight Riders won two IPL titles in 2012 and 2014. They were also champions in 2024, when the former captain returned to the team as a mentor.
Gambhir took to social media to wish the Bollywood actor on his birthday on November 2nd. The post celebrated the actor’s timeless charm, while humorously describing him as “the man who keeps turning 25.” Gambhir said:

Shah Rukh Khan responded in his typical charming manner, jokingly questioning his age while honouring Gambhir as an inspiration and his “Captain forever.” He said:
“I’m 25?!? I thought I was younger…. Ha ha… thank you GG for being such an inspiration. And the honesty u bring to life. My Captain forever and more. Love u”
