Sanjeev Khirwar transferred to Ladakh
Sanjeev Khirwar who faced allegations regarding closing down Delhi’s Thyagraj stadium early for walking his dog has been transferred to Ladakh. The stadium was reportedly closed early at 7 PM for the past week. Athletes and different sportsperson showed their anger and discomfort on this issue.
According to recent media reports, the stadium was vacated early so that IAS officer could roam with his dog freely without any hassle. Khirwar is a 1994 batch IAS officer. His wife Rinku Dugga, who is also an IAS officer was also transferred to Arunachal Pradesh for the same reason.
Athletes and parents of different sportspeople shared their anger through different social media. They reportedly earlier said that the guards around the facility were forced to clear the stadium early. This was done for the sole reason of the IAS officer’s security.
Sanjeev Khirwar proved guilty
The video that emerged showed that Khirwar along with his wife was seen walking along with their dog too. The video got viral very quickly and so other high-level authorities were forced to take action.

Soon after the issue, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal ordered all state-run sports facilities to be closed by 10 pm and this order was circulated among all facilities.
