Jasprit Bumrah’s Workload Debate: Balwinder Singh Sandhu Criticizes Modern “Workload

Rohit Sharma is on the verge of breaking a major captaincy milestone.
The Rohit Sharma-led Team India will face Sri Lanka in the second Twenty20 International in Dharamshala on Saturday. Team India have won 10 T20I matches in a row and are on wining streak.
After losing to New Zealand in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 Men in blue haven’t lost a match in T20.
Surprisingly, a win in the second T20I against Sri Lanka will not only secure the series and maintain India’s winning streak, but it will also propel Rohit Sharma into the record books as the T20I skipper with the most home victories.
Rohit has led India to 15 victories in 16 home matches in the T20Is. At home, he leads Virat Kohli by two T20I victories and MS Dhoni by five. Overall, the ‘hitman’ is tied with England’s Eoin Morgan and New Zealand’s Kane Williamson, and a win against Sri Lanka in the last T20I will see Rohit become India’s most successful T20I captain.
Rohit has also guided India to a 3-0 triumph over New Zealand and a 3-0 victory over the West Indies since taking over as T20I captain. So, if Team India wins on Saturday, it would be Rohit’s third consecutive series win since becoming the format’s full-time captain in November 2021.
Rohit Sharma has won 22 of his 24 T20I matches as captain, and Team India has risen to No. 1 in the T20I rankings after a 3-0 series triumph over the West Indies.
Furthermore, Rohit is on the verge of passing Kohli as the fastest Indian skipper to reach 1000 runs in T20Is. The opener has scored 981 runs in 26 innings and only needs 19 more to hit the 1,000-run mark. Kohli took 30 innings to score 1000 runs as a T20I leader, whereas MS Dhoni took 57 innings, making him the slowest of all India’s T20I captains.
India skipper Rohit Sharma achieved a new world record on Thursday, passing New Zealand’s Martin Guptill to become the greatest T20I run-scorer. In the shortest edition of the game, Rohit defeated his former captain, Virat Kohli, to move up to third position in the batting standings.
In the shortest format, the 34-year-old hitter hit a 32-ball 44 in the 115th inning to extend his record to 3307 runs, passing Guptill (3299 runs in 108 innings) and Kohli (3296 runs in 89 innings).
Meanwhile, if India sweeps Sri Lanka 3-0 in the T20 series, they will share the record for the most straight T20 victories. Afghanistan now holds the record for most consecutive victories, and the Men in Blue are only two wins away from breaking it.
