RCB Squad for IPL 2023
RCB Squad for IPL 2023 : At the IPL 2023 Auction, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) filled every opening in their squad. They were among the first few franchises to finish building their roster for the next league.
The Bangalore-based team made it to the playoffs the previous year, beating the Lucknow Super Giants in the Eliminator before falling to the Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 2. The management of the team made the decision to keep most of the players from their IPL 2022 roster because they did well in that season.
Major players like Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli, Wanindu Hasaranga, Harshal Patel, Glenn Maxwell, and Shahbaz Ahmed were kept on by Royal Challengers Bangalore. They also released a few players, and their 8.75 crore auction budget was used to replace those voids.
At the IPL 2023 Auction, RCB didn’t use up their whole auction budget. The franchise in Bangalore paid 7 crore to acquire seven players. They did make an effort to get a few famous names, but they were had to leave bidding wards early because to their little budget.
Reece Topley, a left-arm fast bowler for England, his countryman Will Jacks, and uncapped players Rajan Kumar, Avinash Singh, Himanshu Sharma, Sonu Yadav, and Manoj Bhandage were eventually acquired by the Royal Challengers.
