Ravindra Jadeja should focus more on his batting
In some surprising turn of events, Chennai Super Kings revealed that Ravindra Jadeja will lead the side in Tata IPL 2022.
IIPL 2022: CSK haven’t had the best of starts under the new leadership of Ravindra Jadeja. The Indian has not been able to guide his team to a win in this IPL.

Former Indian player and coach Ravi Shastri has his say on the new CSK captain.
After a disappointing start in the IPL 2022 Shastri said – “I believe a player like Jadeja should focus on his cricket”
CSK are facing the worst possible start in this year’s IPL as they are yet to get a win. They have lost all the 4 games and have not opened their account on the points table.
After suffering a 6 wicket defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders in their first game of IPL 2022, CSK has suffered consecutive defeats against Lucknow Super Giants, Punjab Kings, and SunRisers Hyderabad.
Former Indian cricketer Ravi Shastri states Faf Du Plessis could have been a better option for captaining CSK.
Shastri opined that Faf du Plessis should have been the captain of CSK if not MS Dhoni.
He said: “I believe a player like Jadeja should focus on his cricket. If Chennai think about it again, they should have not let Faf du Plessis go because he is a match winner and played a lot. If Dhoni didn’t want to captain the side, then Faf should have become the captain and Jadeja should have played as a player. Because he (Jadeja) can then play freely, no pressure of captaincy,”
Faf had played for this franchise for many years and he has a lot of experience since he was leading the South African National Team.
Faf was released ahead of the IPL 2022 mega-auctions. Later, he was roped in by Royal Challengers Bangalore and was named the captain of the side, succeeding Virat Kohli.
Chennai Super Kings will go against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Tuesday at Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai.
