Rajasthan faces Gujarat in the 1st qualifier of the IPL 2022
Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans face off against each other in the 1st qualifier of this season’s IPL 2022 here at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Tuesday.
Rajasthan Royals did have a pretty good season in this IPL 2022. They finished in 2nd place with 18 points. The Royals won 9 matches and lost 5 in their run to the playoffs. Sanju Samson’s led side won the final game of the league against MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings, and it did provide a boost in confidence for the franchise and hopes to continue this momentum. Jos Buttler has been the highlight for Rajasthan this season with three centuries. The team combination is most likely to be unchanged against Gujarat Titans.
Gujarat Titans had the best season among all the other teams in IPL 2022. They finished at the top of the table with 20 points. The Titans won 10 matches and lost 4. Hardik Pandya has also proven his captaincy qualities and proved that he is ready to take the responsibility if given at any point. The Titans had a lot of positives to note but they will look to replace Lockie Ferguson as he went for a few runs and replace him with Alzarri Joseph. Gujarat Titan’s Rashid Khan has also been in great form in this IPL.
