KL Rahul’s Versatility and Young Talent Highlighted by India Coach
“Rahul Dravid suggested retirement” Wriddhiman Saha furious over team management comments
Former Indian wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha has been told by the team management that the player will no longer be considered for selection in terms of playing for the national team. The player also revealed that the team management which is led by Rahul Dravid told him to consider retirement as well. Wriddhiman Saha has been dropped from the Indian Test team recently and on consulting with the team management about his selection, he got to know that he won’t be selected for the national team in the future.
The 37-year-old came out in front of the press in an explosive and angry manner and told them about his situation. He said “The team management had told me that I would not be considered henceforth. I could not tell this so long as I was part of the India team setup,”
“Even coach Rahul Dravid suggested that I think about taking retirement,” he spilled the beans on classified conversations with the head coach.
Wriddhiman was also not happy with the current BCCI president Saurav Ganguly as he said that he doesn’t need to worry about his position in the Indian team.
“When I hit an unbeaten 61 taking a pain-killer in the first Test against New Zealand in Kanpur last November, Dada (as Sourav was referred to by Bengal players) congratulated me over Whatsapp.
“He even mentioned that I should not worry about anything so long as he is at the helm of the BCCI. Such a message from the board president really boosted my confidence. But I failed to understand why everything changed so fast,” It is disheartening and sad to see a player being treated this way.
The player was also treated badly after this incident with many journalists as well because of which Wriddhiman Saha took to his Twitter to reveal the chats of such disrespectful conversations
