Pooja Vastraka aims to bowl to her strengths against New Zealand
Pooja Vastrakar, India’s all-rounder, has stated that she intends to bowl to her strengths in the forthcoming One-Day Internationals against New Zealand. Pooja Vastrakar took two wickets in India’s one-off T20I against New Zealand on Wednesday. “Bowling in Australia and New Zealand is every bowler’s fantasy. In the T20I game, I was just concerned with the process and keeping the line length consistent. I want to do the same thing in the ODI series and bowl only to my strengths “Pooja Vastrakar stated during the virtual press conference.
Pooja spoke on her batting and her attitude to power-hitting, saying, “In ODIs, the final 10 overs are really important, and we have prepared accordingly in practice and in the Challenger Trophy, and I would like to employ the same confidence here.”
Taniya Bhatia, India’s wicketkeeper, says she has grown as a player and is looking forward to the New Zealand series. “I had focused more on power hitting, but as a player, I’ve matured, and I’m looking forward to the series,” Taniya Bhatia said.
From Saturday, the Indian women’s cricket team will play New Zealand in a five-ODI series at John Davies Oval Queenstown in New Zealand.
