Netherlands and Zimbabwe qualified for the T20 World Cup 2022

The T20 World Cup 2022 will be held on Australian soil in October-November. Zimbabwe and Netherlands have also qualified for this tournament.

All the teams participating in T20 World Cup 2022 have been decided. 14 teams had already made their place for this tournament to be held on Australian soil. Now the Netherlands and Zimbabwe have also confirmed their place in the T20 World Cup 2022 by reaching the finals of the qualifier tournaments.

In the first semi-final of this qualifier tournament being played in Zimbabwe, the hosts defeated Papua New Guinea by 27 runs. Batting first, Zimbabwe scored 199 runs for five wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Papua New Guinea’s team could only manage 172 runs for 8 wickets.

In the second semi-final, Netherlands defeated the United States of America (USA) by seven wickets. Batting first, the American team was bundled out for 138 runs. In reply, Netherlands achieved the target with one over left.

16 teams for the T20 World Cup 2022:

Super 12’s: Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, England, South Africa, India, Afghanistan, Bangladesh. Round 1: West Indies, Sri Lanka, Scotland, Namibia, Ireland, UAE, Zimbabwe, Netherlands.
