Both associations could face the same fine of 15,000 Swiss francs (US$16,000) that FIFA’s disciplinary commission imposed twice on Saudi Arabia for team misconduct at this World Cup. Argentina could face higher fines for another interruption fee.
FIFA has not issued a timeline of decisions that are not normally announced before the team’s next match in this World Cup.
Argentina will face Croatia in Tuesday’s semi-final.
