Lebron James says the player will “play as long as he can” with the Lakers
Lebron James has delivered a message of relief for the Lakers fans and teammates as the basketball player’s future was said to be uncertain after some of his statements earlier. Lebron James has been a Lakers player since 2018 and is ready to commit his future to the Lakers outfit as the player said “I see myself being with the purple and gold as long as I can play. But I also have a goal that if it’s possible — I don’t even know if it’s possible — and if I can play with my son, I would love to do that,”
The player’s early statement about the doors not being closed for a Cleveland return churned some controversy in the NBA to which Lebron has clarified himself and said “I never said I’d see myself playing in a Cavaliers uniform,” which meant that he believed it was possible to sign a one-day contract to retire with his hometown team. Lebron James was also seen starring alongside teammate Steph Curry in the All-Star weekend that took place in Cleveland weeks ago.
The Lakers are currently ninth in the Western Conference and would likely be competing in the Play-in tournament because of being seven games behind the Denver Nuggets for the sixth seed. Lebron’s only regret as of now was that he was not able to play more games alongside his talented teammates Anthony Davis and Westbrook as the trio have only managed to play 20 games together in the team because of injuries.
