Kohli hits the nets before his 100th test

Senior cricketers Virat Kohli and R Ashwin, as well as several members of the Indian Test team, were spotted practicing at the IS Bindra PCA International Stadium. The first Test match against Sri Lanka will be played on March 4.

In addition to Jasprit Bumrah, Shubman Gill, Hanuma Vihari, KS Bharat, Umesh Yadav, Kuldeep Yadav, and Mayank Aggarwal, several senior players are practicing in Chandigarh.

As part of his preparation for the 100th Test, Kohli was seen hitting the nets with Ashwin.  There are high expectations for the star batter’s milestone match, but the choice to play it in front of a sparse audience at the PCA Stadium has enraged some cricket fans.

The first Test match of the series will be held in Mohali from March 4 to 8, followed by the second Test in Bengaluru

Shubman Gill and Hanuma Vihari are ready to replace Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane on a long-term basis. Rohit Sharma’s maiden Test as captain will herald a new era for India’s middle-order. The three teenagers will be ready for a long run in the places vacated by the two seniors after having made them their own for a decade when Kohli plays his 100th Test at Mohali.
