England’s Record-Breaking Test Win: The Multan Miracle Against Pakistan
Kohli and Pant are given a break before the Sri Lanka series
The BCCI has decided to allow former India captain Virat Kohli and current wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant a break from the Indian team’s bio bubble for the third and final T20I match against West Indies in Kolkata.
Both batsmen have been allowed a 10-day vacation from the Indian team’s bio-bubble by the BCCI. Pant and Kohli will not participate in the three-match T20 series against Sri Lanka, which begins on February 24 in Lucknow, according to the source. Kohli wants to be well-prepared for his 100th Test match, which will take place in Mohali in the first week of March.
In December, Kohli travelled to South Africa with the Indian team for three Tests and three ODIs. The 33-year-old captained the squad in the Test series before standing down as captain following the last Test in Cape Town.
Pant and Kohli both played in all three One-Day Internationals against the West Indies, and both produced key half-centuries in India’s 8-run victory in the second T20I of the series on Friday.
When Kohli was asked about his innings, he said, “I decided to be positive.”
“Despite the fact that I had lost a few wickets, I wanted to keep going in the same direction. The game was set up perfectly for me to go all out in the final few overs, which is what I specialize in. I’m glad I went out today with a definite goal in mind.”
